Lucky Ducks

I’ve been thinking about good luck and bad luck lately.
If a bird pooped on your knee in the school playground, would that mean you have good luck or bad luck? OK so you’ve got poop on your knee and that’s unlucky… but poop on the knee is better than poop in your hair or on your sandwich! EW!
Some things – like black cats and broken mirrors – are supposed to give you bad luck. And some things – like four leaf clovers and horse shoes – are supposed to give you good luck. But are they just silly superstitions?
Here’s my luck story…
When I was doing my scary Year 12 exams, my mum and dad gave me a starfish necklace. I’ve worn it to every test or scary meeting since! I became obsessed with my ‘lucky’ necklace and I thought that if I accidentally left it at home, I would fail. But then I started thinking, what if I wore my necklace and I still failed? Was my ‘lucky’ necklace suddenly unlucky?
