Fab Films!

Hey Girl Powerettes, 

Here at GP HQ, we’re huddled inside because it’s really really rainy! One of the best things about this dreary weather is that it’s a perfect excuse for watching movies! Rugged up with a steaming bowl of soup and a DVD… Sounds like a dream day to us!

If you’re tired of your DVD collection, there are LOADS of movies being released real soon! We can’t wait for Shrek Forever After, Toy Story 3, Marmaduke, The Karate Kid… oh and just this teeny tiny film called ECLIPSE!!! You probably haven’t heard of it… We’re going to be such regulars at our local cinema over the next month, they’ll have to set up a special GP VIP area!

We’re really lucky ducks at GP HQ because we get a sneak peek at some fab films before they hit cinemas! So don’t forget to keep checking the mag and the blog for all the exclusive info!

Anyway Girl Powerettes we’d love to know what flicks you are looking forward to so we can seek out some great movie goss, just for YOU! Awww…

Beat the Winter Blues!

Hey Powerrettes!

Hope you’re having a good day! Here at GP HQ we have been hit with a cold chill- brrr!  Because we’re also working hard to bring you the best mag ever, we decided to find out how to quickly  boost our brains whilst beating the winter blues!

  • Smart snacks- When it comes to brain boosters choose snacks like nuts, berries  grapes and muesli bars over chips and lollies. These will keep you full of energy and even help improve your memory!  Dynamo Ashley Tisdale’s a big fan of healthy power snacks. “I love Kashi (wholegrain) bars because they have lots of protein,”  she says. “I also like raw, unsalted almonds. Her fave afternoon treat? A smoothie made with raw cacao, peanut butter, low fat milk, and a banana!

  • Eat Breakfast- You’ve probably heard this is the most important meal of the day- breakfast replenishes your energy and helps keep you alert  through the day.  Make like Selena Gomez and start your day with  a yummy omelet: “My mum makes a mean omelet” says Selena. ” She adds mushrooms, onions, cheese, the works.”

  • Exercise! Keeping fit and healthy during winter helps to lift your mood and keep up your fitness levels. It may be hard to keep motivated when its cold outside, but Demi Lovato knows its worth it.  Last time she was on tour she exercised every day because of the stamina and energy it gave her. “Towards the end of the tour, I was doing shows and barely even sweating!” she says.
