Are you a Simpsonizer?

Here at GP we’re big fans of the totally cute Cody Simpson – it’s safe to say we’re super Simpsonizers! We love his latest music vid for ‘All Day’ and it seems we’re not alone… It’s only been on the web for a month but it’s already had almost TWO MILLION views! Wow.

Did you know…

  • The girl in the vid is one of Cody’s besties from Australia! Her name is Yasmin.
  • Cody’s grandparents built the rain machine used in the video from a garden hose!
  • It took Cody a week to nail the dance moves!

The Wimpiest Kid In Town Is Back!

Get ready to be out-wimped again because Greg Heffley and the gang are back!

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules is the second film to be released in the Wimpy Kid series… these flicks are based on the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid books by Jeff Kinney. They’re really funny reads!

This movies follows Greg and his buddies as they enter the seventh grade. Greg’s parents are desperate for him to form a close bond with his older brother Rodrick, but… Rodrick makes Greg’s life miserable! He’s always trying to embarrass Greg (like older brothers do!)

We loved the first Wimpy Kid movie, so we’re totally excited for this super movie sequel! Check out the hilarious trailer below…

Wonderful Rio!

One of the hottest movies to hit our screens this year has got to be Rio!

Rio tells the story of Blu, a Blue Macaw that can’t fly! He is sent to Rio to be matched up with the last remaining female of their kind, Jewel. What follows is an amazing adventure involving animal snatchers, romance and new friends!  This flick is all about what it really means to spread your wings!

Not only does the animation look amazing, Rio features some pretty famous voices! Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, Jake T. Austin, Tracey Morgan and Jane Lynch from Glee all lend their vocal talents to the film!

We’re going hopping mad for Hop!

We’re getting super excited for the release of the latest 3D animated comedy, Hop!

Hop about a rabbit called E.B. , the teenage son of the Easter Bunny! The night before E.B. is supposed to take over the family business, he leaves for Hollywood in pursuit of his dream of becoming a drummer!

Bandaged Bear Day

Hey Girl Powerettes,

It’s Bandaged Bear Day this Friday! This year marks the 22nd birthday of The Bandaged Bear Appeal, which sells these super cute bears to raise money for sick kids in hospital.

Bandaged Bears will be sold at train stations, shopping centres, Starbucks, Best & Less stores, St George banks and Blooms the Chemist stores this Friday, March 25 so make sure you don’t miss out on your bear. Please help out this fantastic cause!

These cubby houses don’t just look awesome, they’re also helping raise money for a great cause! They’re going to be auctioned off for Kids Under Cover – a cool charity that provides homes and education to young kids. If you’re lucky enough to live in melbourne, make sure you check out the Cubby House Village at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, it’s on from March 30 to April 3!

Have you got your mitts on the latest issue of Girl Power? Gracing our cover is the uber-awesome Katy Perry! She’s cool as a cat and totally creative, so we think she’s super inspiring! This month, we give you the latest on Katy plus Katy shares her confidence tips with GP readers… isn’t that sweet! We’ve also got all the goss on Justin Bieber’s new movie and we get to know Bella Thorne, the star of Shake it Up!

It’s our DIY spesh this issue - so we got our craft on to bring you some super ideas! There are loads of gals we find inspiring – from sports stars like Stephanie Gilmore and Leisel Jones, to movie stars like Emma Watson (she’s sweet, stylish and she’s studying sooooo hard! Awesome, right?), to the most inspiring girls of all… our readers!!! We just love girl POWER!
