Amazing Animals Update

So… the Girl Power team are slightly obsessed with animals. And when I say slightly, I mean COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY BONKERS ABOUT THEM! Hee hee hee!

Here is an adorable animal update to make you smile…

MEET SEBA

He’s a Red Panda who was born at Christmas time at Taronga Zoo in Sydney. Red Pandas are a vulnerable species which means they’re endangered. Taronga Zoo has a special breeding programme to make sure these cute critters survive! Seba is the Nepalese word for ‘reward’. Isn’t he cute?

Seba is the 45th Red Panda to be born at Taronga. You can visit Seba and his family at the zoo! After a few months of staying inside his nest, Seba has finally popped out to explore his new surroundings.

LOVELY LIONS

Agh, this picture is almost too cute for words!

On Monday, four rare white lion cubs were born at Belgrade Zoo in Serbia. We want to go to Serbia to see them! Sooooo cute!

How are your holidays?! What have you been up to! We’re loving receiving all your letters, emails and comments!!!

Here at Girl Power, we care about others and we LOVE it when we hear about how you’ve helped! These holidays, why not write in and tell us about when you’ve given a helping hand – whether it be hosting a charity fundraiser or just helping a friend who needed cheering up!

Puppy Love!

Do you heart your dog? Well we’ve come across some funny dog stats that will make you smile!

Aww, this dog looks pretty happy!

A recent PawClub survey of Aussie dog owners found:

  • 52% sign greeting cards from their dogs at Christmas time!
  • 73% spend more time with their dog than with their parents or other relatives. Wow!
  • 51% of Aussies walk their dog everyday, but 44% admit they don’t walk their dog as much as they’d like to. Uh oh!
  • The majority of women spend more money on their dog than their partner! LOL!

We’ve found an eco-friendly way to bust that boredom these school holidays! Agree to go green and you could score a stash of products from the Body Shop. All you have to do is visit a Body Shop store or log on to: www.climatefriendly.com/tbs and make a Climate Action Pledge – this is a fancy way of saying that you’ll try to be more green!

You could:

  • Turn off all the lights during the day
  • Switch your TV off at the wall
  • Recycle all your cereal boxes and newspapers!
