I Love Books: Amazing Author Emily Rodda

Emily Rodda is a legend when it comes to kids’ books! She has written some really great reads including the Deltora books which are famous all around the world.

This month, the Girl Power team got to interview Emily and here’s a sneak peek for you…

GP: What are some of your favourite books ever?
EMILY: My favourite children’s books ever include… Lord Of The Rings, Anne Of Green Gables, The BFG and The Wind In The Willows.

GP: Did you write stories when you were a kid? What were they about?
EMILY: I was always writing as a child and often these were fantasy stories, especially stories about fairies. As a teenager I wrote ghost and love stories!!!

GP: Can you tell us about your new series, which starts with The Golden Door?
EMILY: The Doors trilogy is the tale of three brothers who live in the walled city Weld but have to leave it through one of three magic doors to help defeat the enemy attacking their home. The three books of the trilogy are about, adventure, mystery and magic.
