This month, GP caught up with Logan Henderson from Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush! He was SO sweet. As well starring as Logan Mitchell in the TV series, he’s also in a REAL band called Big Time Rush! They make amazing music.

GP: So Logan, do you ever find it strange to have the same name as your character on Big Time Rush?

Logan: Yeah, it can definitely be weird. The name Logan is cool, it’s better than being called Cody or Luke. As an artist, the reason why we chose the first names was because that name is going to stick and Logan is my name. Any musical message I produce will come under Logan Henderson. As far as the humour goes and the funny parts about Logan Mitchell, we are similar in that respect as we are both a bit goofy but the other aspects of Logan Mitchell is not similar to me at all.

GP: You’ve had some pretty famous guest stars on Big Time Rush, who was the coolest one to work with?

Logan: I don’t think I could pick a favourite, we have had so many amazing people! We worked with Nicole from the PCD who was beautiful, she was really cool to work with. We had Russell Brand on one of the episodes so that was really cool. We have had some great names.

GP: Did you like working with Miranda Cosgrove too?

Logan: We have known Miranda for a little while now and she has been so successful. She’s a very talented girl and always a bunch of fun to work with.

GP: Tell me a little bit about the other boys in the band. Who makes you laugh the most?

Logan: The person who always makes me laugh until I cry is James. Me and James are pretty goofy – we always make each other laugh.

GP: Do any of the boys have a very annoying habit?

Logan: Carlos is super organised and ordered so he is pretty much the opposite of the character he plays on the show. He is more like my character in real life. He is the more cautious one and is always thinking about stuff. He has his own way of doing things but it is all in good fun. He keeps things pretty clean for us so I can’t blame him for that.

GP: You said you and your character were both a little goofy. Have you had any on stage slip-ups or is your record clear?

Logan: I think every single time I go on stage something happens that is not supposed to happen. But that is part of the fun of performing! Even on the show and in real life my motto is to practice as hard as I can and as much as I can when it’s time to practice so that when I’m on stage performing I wont make any mistakes. There’s never really any mistakes on stage – it’s my time. I did almost completely fall on a back flip one time, though…
