Cool Comp: Win Family Movie Passes to Arrietty!

The GP girls were so lucky to get a sneak peek at the fabulous new flick Arrietty. It. Was. Amazing!

Arrietty is a beautiful animated movie about a teeny, tiny 14-year-old girl called Arrietty who lives under the floorboards of a mansion. She lives with her family and they survive by “borrowing” things from the people who live in the house. When a 12-year-old human boy comes to stay at the house, Arrietty’s life changes forever. You can catch it in cinemas from January 12.

This movie is based on the much-loved book The Borrowers by Mary Norton and it’s seriously sweet. The best way to find out all about it is to watch the trailer below!


Isn’t the animation amazing? Fun fact: It’s made by the Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli – they did Spirited Away and Ponyo! It screens in both an English language version and a subtitled Japanese version. Cool!

Short Stack Movie News + WIN a Cool Prize Pack!

Listen up Short Stack fans! The boys’ brand new documentary The Story of Short Stack is being beamed live via satellite to cinemas around the country! Thanks to CinemaLive and Universal Music Australia, you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s amazing journey on October 27 at 7pm!

As well as the doco, you’ll get to see a live acoustic set from the boys, a live Q&A with the fans PLUS a copy of the DVD! Woo hoo!

The premiere starts at 6:30pm with a red carpet at Event Cinemas, George St, Sydney and then the whole event will be beamed to cinemas around the country at 7pm. For details on tickets and cinemas, visit cinemalive.com

The GP team recently saw the super cool movie Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer… and it was supermegatotallythrilladelic! It’s about a girl called Judy who plans the ULTIMATE summer holiday… until her friends and fam all bail and she’s left with her totally wacky aunt! Urkkkkk! Luckily… it turns out her aunt Opal is kinda awesome, so Judy decides to save her summer in style!

The Wonderful Whipple-Off!

There’s nothing we love more at GP than having a craft-ernoon! This month, the GP team decided to have a competition to see who was the craftiest cat of all! We each got a Whipple Cupcakes kit and each created a cute cupcake!

Whipple is so much fun! Use the crafting créme to decorate cupcakes, tarts and pastries and then add jewels, beads and maybe even a cherry on top!!! When it’s dry, you’ve got an uber-sweet dessert to use as a keyring or charm!

We’re so sad that Hannah Montana has come to an end. Fun, friendship and amazing music – it’s definitely one of the best shows on the box! The final ep got us all teary – how about you?
