Delta Saves the Day!

Hey Girl Powerettes!

Last night, the lovely Delta Goodrem delivered not one but two amazing performances on America’s Dancing with the Stars! When the super singer Adele got too sick to perform, Delta stepped in and performed the classic track ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman’. It was the first time she’d ever performed it and she had less than an hour of rehearsal time! Amazing.

Delta also sung her new duet with Michael Bolton, ‘I’m Not Ready’. It would have been totally nerve-wracking to perform, especially in front of an audience of 21 MILLION PEOPLE! Wowzers!

My Camp Rock Music Video: Coming Soon!

We’d like to share a little secret with you Girl Powerettes… Here at GP, we’ve been an eensy bit obsessed with My Camp Rock 2! It’s like the best bits of Camp Rock have suddenly come to life!

  • Large-scale song and dance routines – check!
  • Mega-musical battle – check!
  • Talented tweens achieving their dreams – check!

*Sigh* What could be better?!

A little catch up for those who’ve been out of the loop – Disney put a call out for super singers and dancers in Australia and NZ. Ten talented kids were chosen and split into two teams – team treble and team bass!

They developed some killer routines and battled it out in the final jam! YOU got to decide the ultimate winner which was…. Team Treble! Congratulations!

The prize was the chance to record a music video and just quietly… we can’t wait to see it!  Their clip – ‘Brand New Day’ premieres on the Disney Channel on the 29th of October at 5:55 pm! Yippeeeee!

HELP HAITI – Celebs Band Together

You’ve all probably heard this lovely charity song “WE ARE THE WORLD” directed by Lionel Richie and produced by Quincy Jones. It was recorded in the same studio Michael Jackson did the original 25 years ago and helps raise money to those affected by the devastating disaster in Haiti. I can’t stop playing this song because I love hearing the unique blending of all the different sounds and voices each artist has in this song. It also reminds me that in such suffering times, everyone around the world unites to help out – even celebs. It features over 80 artists and performers. Here are the ones I spotted: Justin Bieber, Fergie, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Adam Levine(Maroon 5), Black Eyed Peas, Pink, Jamie Foxx, Usher, Nicole Scherzinger, Mark J. Blige, Carlos Santana, Jason Mraz, Jordin Sparks, Joel Madden and many MORE!
